  1. Hi Deb
The point that you made about teachers themselves having to gain knowledge about the technology, and how it best taught is so true (linking to the TPAK framework). As technology continues to make its way into the classroom this statement is going to become more common. I myself am quite nervous about this idea but at the same time excited about these advances in teaching and learning. Do you think that the advantages and learning capabilities of concepts maps outweigh the associated challenges eg: such as time, techniques etc??

  2. Hi Deb
Great work, you can see the possibilities, concept maps are good to give students an overview of what the course will be like, and to refer back on during the course to show their progress and future steps, as well as to review before an exam. Your layout of the subject is really good and easy to understand. Thanks, please come and see my blog at http://tanyase-learningjourney.blogspot.com/

  3. Hi Tanya
This is as excellent way for students to revise what they remeber about a topic. From here they are then able to build new knowledge and relate it to what they have already learnt. This gives students a visual avenue to see how topics and information relate to each other.
    Thank you

  4. Hi Michelle
I believe that the movement into technology is something that is vital to the 21st century learning. Providing a way for students to revise what they have learnt is vital. Constructing a concept map is time consuming but so is revising what was learnt in previous lessons. building concept maps allows the teache to see where they need to revise and what ideas students have reatined from previous lessons.
    Thank you
